Coil Lab Colorist

PPG INDUSTRIES KİMYASAN.VE TİC.A.Ş.

• Develops color formulas for Industrial Coatings Coil Customers in Turkey,
• Compares customer's sample with standard color card and takes necessary actions to proceed,
• Drives and makes color-matchings for Industrial Coil products less than 3 days and on time,
• Follows-up PPG Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) rules and obligations during the lab activities on daily basis,
• Follows-up PPG Quality Assurance strategies according to ISO 9001 and 5S,
• Supports Process and Production team to secure launch process for new trials and technologies in Production,
• To be able to introduce new formulations in Easychrome, Easymix and Oracle,
• Compares colors with customer's sample to verify color shade, records color trials in spectrophotometers and sends samples to customers,
• Provides technical support to Coil Sales team,
• Being solution-oriented and follow-up escalation process when needed.

Requirements:

• University degree preferably from Engineering departments/Chemical Engineering, Chemistry
• Experience in colormatching/ paint & formulation development in paint.
• Good level of English both verbal and written,
• Strong communication and follow-up skills,
• Constructive, positive and willing to co-operate,
• Being customer support oriented,
• Ensuring color fastness, accurate color re-production, stability and durability of products,
• Using color measuring equipment to ensure color reliability in paints.
