A Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the senior executive in an organization managing the financial actions of a group. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is one of the key people to provide both strategic and operational support to the group. The CFO supervises the entire finance unit and is the chief financial spoke person for the group. The basic role of chief financial officer includes driving company financials, performing risk management and deciding on investment strategies. Generally, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports directly to the president/ chief executive officer (CEO), represent the board of directors in the group companies and assist the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) in all the strategic matters relating to performance, budget management, forecasting needs and securing of new funding.

JOB PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION 

- Manage the finances of the Group, influencing and providing financial support to strategic and operational decision making across the Group, up to and including local Board level

- Deliver all monthly reports, forecasts and plans to group management and Group on time and with the required degree of accuracy and comprehensive analysis

- Provide excellent financial support to the whole Group and to the wider Group 

- Professionally lead, coach and challenge the division finance department: 

- Optimize organization structure and human capital

- Lead, challenge and develop the Group Financial Planning & Analysis team to provide reporting and support to strategic and operational decision making to all stakeholders of the group

- Coordinate with the Finance Manager in the key markets not reporting to the position and lead, challenge and develop the Finance Managers reporting to the position in their responsibilities to manage the finance team, to meet all local statutory and group consolidation obligations and deadlines with the required accuracy and control and to efficiently support the cash collection process

- Lead and/or participate in projects for growth and profitability of the group

- In close collaboration with the group functions, drive the continuous improvement of the financial data, processes and systems in order to support the client objectives, ensure excellent controls are in place, and ensure that client delivers value for money

 ACCOUNTABILITY & SCOPE FACTORS

- Full P&L accountability - Deliver operational targets and efficiencies

- Ensure perfect execution of identified key strategic projects

- Lead the people development process within the Finance function of the Group in full respect and alignment with Group identified strategies

- Ensure financial support is provided across the Group for strategic and operational decision making and execution and all levels of the group

- Contribute financial and other expertise to the business and to business development opportunities

- Participate in the Group’s strategic development process and implement strategies approved by the Board

- Ensure that the financial impact and effect of strategic change is taken fully into account in the development of the Group’ s financials

- Work professionally within the Senior Management Team to deliver and ensure buy-in to the Group and strategic priorities and to ensure that the Group meets all budgetary and other targets and key performance indicators

- Operational responsibility for the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, budgets and forecasts, ensuring all are produced in a timely accurate and effective manner and communicated clearly to appropriate audiences

- Overall responsibility for Group’ s tax issues ensuring full compliance with statutory obligations and minimizing tax where possible

- Overall responsibility for monitoring cash management ensuring accurate forecasting and meeting the company’s commitment to the client

- Responsible for the efficiency, reliability, consistency and quality of finance controls and procedures, ensuring strong financial controls and delivery of value for money across the company

- In conjunction with client, manage the introduction and development of new financial systems when appropriate

- Build and maintain good relationships with the client’s auditors, bankers and other advisors Skills & requirements

- Master degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent

- At least 14+ years of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Finance Management role for a complex, international business in a manufacturing environment

- Experience at management team level a clear plus

- Exposure to strategic planning and execution of strategic projects

- Data, process and systems continuous improvement track record

- IT literacy, extended knowledge of excel (business model, pivot table), good knowledge of ERP and BI tools, specific knowledge of SAP and SAP-BW is a plus

- Fluent in Turkish and English Personal attributes

- Strong business/commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit

- Able to function at both strategic and operational levels, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing (high capex!); functioning as a counsel for the countries

- Excellent people management and influencing skills

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Self-confidence, smart, self-starter, keen to deliver

- Can represent the General Manager when needed; must “speak same language” 

- Ambitious, driven, constructive, analytical person with strong interests in business in general in a production environment
