Job Brief Information:

The Estimator / Senior Estimators position is an excellent opportunity who have experience or who would like to build a career in estimation of the construction project business. She / He will analyze the construction projects to provide estimates on time.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will be assigned to him/her by the team manager per project with a specific schedule (start date, steps of progress and completion schedule). Each step of his/her work will require contribution of team effort & work that is based on communicating & collaborating with his/her colleagues & the management. The responsibilities are:

- Understanding the job description, processes and workflows that is assigned to him/her.

- Participating project meetings and understanding its responsibilities & duties assigned.

- Communicating with partners, architects, superintendents, service providers, engineers, industry experts and the clients to determine the needs of analyzing architectural plans and resolve issues

- Reviewing and completing requests for proposal from the client for scope of work, project drawings, project specifications, blueprints, etc.)

- Understanding & Executing the assigned scope of work to him/her (estimates, cost analysis, project schedule, project program, etc.), based on clients’ requirements from the technical documents such as, plans, blueprints, specifications, contracts, etc.

- Conducting the project scope, analyzing the plans, defining the key variables for the estimation, resolving discrepancies and providing accurate forecasts about the costs to be used in estimates.

- Preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full accurate estimates for the projects, varying from small to large and complex projects, as required by client’s documents.

- Generating budgets, project plans, preliminary project schedules, project assessments, risk plans, specification manuals, blueprints, reports & other documents needed by collecting, analyzing and summarizing the collected information from the Clients’ documentation, and the processed data by the software.

- Proposing alternatives in estimates and make value engineering suggestions to provide more cost effective or profitable to the clients under estimates as recommendations if needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is expected to combine technical skills with a commercial acumen, strong problem solving ability, keen attention to detail and communication in verbal & written within the expected deadlines to meet the clients’ expectations & requirements.

Requirements:

- MSc/BSc or BA in Architecture, Construction Science and Relevant Discipline

- Experience in Autocad and Planswift 

- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power point

- Math Ability with analytical mindset

Estimators:

- No proven experience is required.

Senior Estimators:

- Proven experience as estimator or similar position is an asset (for Senior Estimators)

- Understanding of reading architectural plans

- Familiarity with financial or project management principles

- Familiarity with analyzing information, estimating, planning, reporting, budget preparation & contract/document reviews

- In depth knowledge of research & data analysis methods and estimation formulas

- Math Ability with analytical mindset

- Understanding of calculating equations and handling large databases

Hours and Environment:

- Professional Office Environment with an international business management philosophy

- Domestic / International Travels may be required per project

- Monday to Friday, from 08.30 am to 18.30 pm.
