Ratio Technologies is an R&D based tech start-up that provides innovative and genuine technology solutions across multiple industries. We are currently looking for enthusiastic people with solid technical background and analytical skills to be part of our R&D teams. As part of our hardware development team we are looking for a Hardware Engineer, who will be designing and developing IoT solutions for industry 4.0 applications in scope of our propriety products. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Designing and developing hardware architecture for automated IoT applications, 
• Delivering optimum designs according to cost, power consumption and portability constraints, 
• Designing electrical systems, electronic circuit boards, components, and applications, including schematic design, component selection, and PCB layout, 
• Ensuring product robustness and reliability to match pre-defined customer requirements, 
• Leading the integration of hardware and software by working closely with firmware/embedded software engineers in the team. 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering or related fields, 
•  Proven experience in analog and/or power electronics, schematics and multi-layer board layout design 
•  Proven experience in board design and analysis tools such as, Mentor Graphics, ORCAD, ALTIUM etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electronic components, 
• Experience with data communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Knowledgeable in software development, has hands on experience on at least a single programming language. 
• Preferably having good knowledge of C/C++, Python,Java or JavaScript 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Having experience in FMEDA, requirements management, project management and problem-solving methodologies is a big plus 
• Familiarity with board level power conditioning and EMI/EMC constraints is a big plus 
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI tests and hands-on experience is a plus, 
• Having experience with GPS/GSM, IoT and vehicle tracking systems in the past will be a big plus. 
• Having experience with safety-critical design and development processes and knowledge of EN50129, EN50126, EN50128, EN50159 standards is a big plus
