JOB DESCRIPTION

• Research, design, implement, and evaluate machine learning and data analytics models in various subject fields such as: Price Forecasting, Price Optimization, Pattern Recognition, Decision Support Systems, IoT, IIoT, Natural Language Processing, Predictive Analytics, Predictive Maintenance
• Perform exploratory data analysis, data mining and exploratory statistics on diverse datasets from small scale to “big data”
• Extract business insights and solutions by using latest technology in machine learning, pattern recognition from complex data
• Integrate, maintain and enhance data science modules/programs with existing company software’s and cloud services
• Develop the necessary back-end structures and cloud services from scratch for implementing the data science applications if they are not present
• Interact with API’s of various platforms, existing databases and or web scraping for data extraction and maintaining data quality and integrity.
• Try, test and improve machine learning and deep learning models with full-flexibility
• Provide input and guidance on data visualization techniques.
• Learn and adapt to the company’s top-level R&D and technology development frameworks for much higher efficiency in development processes
• Perform ongoing monitoring of models’ quality to proactively identify required updates,
• Contribute to company know-how via in-house research documents and be part of company IP’s and patents.
• Take part in full project life-cycle and directly develop actual tangible outcomes and products.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computational Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields
• A solid background in software development, object oriented programming and preferably also matrix oriented programming
• Hands on experience in Python and preferably also R
• Hands on experience with various machine learning algorithms, and data preparation and modelling before implementation of algorithms.
• Good understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with API’s, software architectures and object oriented programming
• Hands on experience/knowledge on database architectures both SQL and NoSQL. 
• Eager to learn existing and new technologies & trends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS or double major in a highly quantitative field such as machine learning, statistics, operational research and computer science is a big plus
• Experience with building and using models on cloud platforms (like AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus
• Experience with Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is a plus
• Experience with data visualization tools such as D3 and Tableau is a big plus
