Field Service Engineer

We are seeking “Field Service Engineer” with the following qualifications to join the team of our multi-national client which is pioneer in sensor-based sorting in the waste and metal recycling industries in Istanbul.

Main tasks are:

• Field service work (commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance and repair) predominantly for Recycling in Turkey
• Provides detailed field reports that are useful for the whole organisation after every installation or technical intervention
• Takes care of a timely reporting of activities, costs and other reporting
• Training of customer maintenance and service personnel on site as well as Service Engineers
• Providing on call technical phone support and field response to equipment and customer issues
• Give support to Sales and Project Management

Skills and abilities:

• College studies in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred, minimum Technician or engineering 3rd Level qualification required
• 3-5 years “hands-on” experience in a B2B, Industrial Equipment support role
• Being self-motivated and having the proven capacity to fully complete tasks
• Advanced IT and network skills
• Full clean driving license essential
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Basic material knowledge a plus (e.g. different types of plastics)
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information and issues in a user friendly manner, fluent in spoken and written English
• Excellent technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and follow-up skills
• Ability to relate to customers, their views and issues, locally and in other countries and cultures
• Motivated individual who has a passion for Engineering
