The vacancy for Breeding Trials Coordinator in Rijk Zwaan Turkey

Rijk Zwaan Turkey is committed to develop the vegetable industry through introduction and promotion of high quality varieties as well as modern horticulture technical transfer.

To contribute to our development, we have a vacancy for a motivated trial coordinator who is able to plan and organise the breeding trials of mainly open field vegetable species. Within this role, the main responsibility is implementation of successful trials together with an assistant and selection of best performing varieties. This mean that you will be in charge on finding growers, do trial set-up and full monitoring, reporting of results, participation to trial analysis with crop specialists and breeders. You will work in close co-operation with several colleagues in Rijk Zwaan, both in and outside Turkey. A good understanding of vegetable market demand is highly appreciated. In this role, you will be located in our Serik, Antalya station and follow trials at grower’s locations all around Turkey.  

What we are looking for

You have a self-starting attitude, you are a teamworker and able to maintain the contacts in our international organisation. You have good collaboration with different stakeholders. You have good knowledge of crop management and market knowledge of the Turkish horticultural industry.

Plus we look for the following in your CV:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
• At least 5 years experience of trial set up and selection of varieties
• Good planning and organization skills
• Good knowledge on Turkey vegetable market
• Fluency in English 
• Willingness and mobility to travel within country and internationally
