An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Director of Sales to be part of flagship Rixos Tersane İstanbul. It is a newly constructed hotel that will be representative of refine hospitality. Rixos Tersane İstanbul will present 432 bedrooms.

As Director of Sales, you will drive the sales department at the hotel. You will work to establish a strong pre-opening team that will help to deliver this opening as an undeniable success. You will be responsible for managing the sales team to drive business to the hotel and working within budgeted guidelines to achieve financial targets.

Your Responsibilities

As a Director of Sales of Rixos Tersane İstanbul, you are responsible for managing the sales and marketing operations at the hotel. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Managing the development of a strategic account plan for the demand generators in the market.
• Managing the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts.
• Providing customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Researching competitor’s sales team strategies to identify ways to grow RevPAR and increase market share.
• Attending sales strategy meetings to provide input on weekly and overall sales strategy.
• Suggesting innovative marketing ideas and develops deployment strategies to continue to grow.
• Participating in sales calls with members of the Sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
• Identifying public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment the overall marketing communication strategy.
• Supporting the General Manager by coordinating crisis communications.
• Executing and supports Rixos’ service standards
• Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
• Implementing a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering high level of service.
• Monitoring the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to property leadership and/or other appropriate stakeholders.
• Developing sales goals and strategies and verifies alignment with the brand business strategy.
• Executing the sales strategy in order to meet individual booking goals for both self and staff.
• Coaching leaders of revenue generating departments in developing effective revenue strategies and setting aggressive goals that will drive the property's financial performance.
• Performing other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

Your Qualifications

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors and skills that follow:

• College degree in business administration, marketing or hotel management
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Director of Sales in luxury hotels
• Solid financial knowledge to meet financial targets
• Solid hotel industry work experience and demonstrating pattern of exceptional performance
• Excellent grooming standards
• Willingness to develop team members and self
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work on your own or in teams
