We are looking for a “Purchasing Chief” to increase commercial product group sales and carry a step forward its position in the Automotive Supply Industry located in Samsun/Turkey. 

Purchasing Chief will report directly to the Puchasing Manager and also work with Quality, R&D and Supplier Development Departments.

Purchasing Chief requirements are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering departments (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Material Engineering etc.), 
• 4+ years automotive sector experience required, 
• OEM and Tier 1 experience preferred,
• Excellent knowledge about product group required,
• Advanced level english is required,
• SAP Module knowledge & experience required,
• Excellent communication skills – strong written and oral communication skills,
• Proven team leader skills min 2-3 years,
• Advanced MS Office programs knowledge required,
• No restriction for Travel,
• Located in Samsun.

Purchasing Chief responsibilities are:

• To ensure final checks of the systemic and operational works of the purchasing processes and to ensure that the processes proceed smoothly.
• To monitor the performance of his team, to identify areas open to improvement and to take action in this regard.
• To measure and improve the system performances in the relevant purchasing groups and assist to the Top Manager in determining the strategies in the relevant groups.
• To minimize purchasing costs by ensuring supply continuity and quality assurance, to take part in cost improvement projects within this scope, and to ensure that all these activities are sustainable within the team.
• Identifying risks in purchasing processes in the relevant purchasing category and finding alternative solutions.
• Attending international and domestic fairs and events, meeting new suppliers
• Contributing to supplier developments by working with Supplier Development and Quality Departments
• Collecting offers from suppliers regarding feasibility, price and deadlines, conducting market research and analysis, comparing and evaluating the results
• To take part in the Project team in the works related to the Project and New Product
• Carrying out studies with suppliers related to R&D projects on the basis of product groups.
• To check whether the suppliers comply with the contracts, to apply the contract clauses when necessary.
• Analyzing material entries in coordination with the Quality unit, especially after the shipment arrives at the company.
