We are searching for inventive, innovative, and ingenious individuals to join our CPU Performance Team. We are a group of engineers that are dedicated to driving advanced explorations for next generation CPU architectures.

Key Qualifications

• Understanding of CPU architecture and power management.
• 2 + years of experience with CPU performance analysis, familiarity with associated tools.
• Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks.
• Strong coding skills, including object-oriented programming with C and C++.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Javascript.
• Working multi-functionally with people of very diverse backgrounds and ability of strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
• Preferred knowledge of visual/UI or data analysis frameworks.
• Preferred knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology.

Description

As a CPU Performance Test Engineer, you will be part of a team that is defining and optimizing CPU operating conditions. With others, you will seek out areas for improvement while collecting data and measurements for confirmation or rejection of certain frameworks. You will collaborate with experienced test engineers to assess the feasibility of ideas, refine existing ideas, and seed new ones. The role requires the analysis of specific workloads across existing and new product categories to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement. We collaborate as a CPU performance team to maintain and improve the simulation environment and look for ways to boost the productivity of the entire team.

Education & Experience

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
