PROFILE

·         Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields

·         Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position

·         Experience in international commodity trading contract execution and logistical environment

·         Experience in FMCG industry is an asset

·         Excellent command of English (both written and verbal)

·         Knowledge of customs regulations, business contracts, maritime legislation and insurance

·         Knowledge of MS Office

·         Punctual with a keen sense of urgency, problem solving and decision making in an empowered and fast-changing environment; Hands-on attitude

·         Strong sense of teamwork and willingness to share knowledge / train others

·         Proven interpersonal skills and relationship management

·         Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Lead teams of logistics and procurement by identifying and implementing new structures, new procedures, best practices and performance measurements in alignment with the business plan

·         Coordinate logistics operations at our own facilities as well as at outside storage facilities or third party plants with the goal to achieve the most economical setup

·         Negotiate contacts with counterparties for trade, procurement, transport, storage, supervision, customs clearance and other services in order to improve and/or continue our competitiveness

·         Maintain and foster established relationships with regulatory bodies, port authorities, tax and customs office, customers, suppliers and other business partners

·         Support commercial team and traders to access feasibility of new deals and define materials supply and production planning with local team

·         Closely cooperate with other department managers with a goal to have a hassle-free functioning of the entire business system

·         Facilitate internal and external audits regarding the quality management and sustainability systems and reporting

·         Attract and retain talents

·         Act with own initiative and according to own business insight with a keen sense for elevating issues timely to the appropriate supervisory level

·         Gain and maintain up-to-date knowledge of custom and tax rules in the countries we are active in cooperation with respective national experts and translate it in error-free execution of documentations and reports by team members

·         Collecting and reporting data for monthly closure and collect/provide clarification of costs in order to enable the commercial team to timely report the BU results

·         Handle insurance claims and legal issues in order to safeguard company’s interests and to avoid losses or recuperate/minimize them

·         Participate in optimization projects in order to improve logistics/supply chain
