QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are one of the important energy companies in Turkey and looking for a member to join us as a “Health,Safety&Environment Director” in our Head Office in İstanbul. HSE Director will report to COO and will be responsible for developing and implementing standards and strategies and to build technical competencies that deliver a safe and healthy workplace. She/he will work closely with General Managers and HSE teams to align, deploy all measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering departments or any other related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience across HSE applications
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience, especially leading teams in multinational companies outside of the Turkey
- A-Class Occupational Safety certificate is preferred
- Knowledge in legislation, standards, regulations, etc., on safety and environmental responsibility across the country
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred
- Experience in working with a diverse workforce at all levels (including white/blue collar employees and unions)
- Strong experience in Utility,Mining,Metal,Oil&Gas sectors
- Position requires travel to multiple regions
- No military obligation for male candidates
İŞ TANIMI
- Develop and implement technical plans to assure HSE compliance with national regulations and group standards
- Audit and monitor of general HSE compliance and performance in all group companies
- Collaborate with HSE representatives in companies and regions for troubleshooting, adapting and deploying safety strategies/tactics
- Promote a positive culture around safety and ensures that HSE processes are innovative and creative
- Conduct benchmarks regarding HSE policies and practices to ensure they meet current trends and to install a world-class culture by following up new HSE engineering techniques, procedures, instruments and equipment through seminars, educational institutions, professional organizations, regulatory agencies and collaborative partnerships.
- Guide the design of behavioral training programs and initiatives.
