Quality Technologist - Turkey

The Role

The role Quality Technologist is responsible for all products through the stages of product development (design to bulk order delivery). This role coordinates and deliver products engineered for original design, cost, great fit and premium quality whilst ensuring  standards are met.

You do/are,

·         Responsible for all fits from design to bulk order delivery

·         Prompt action for any production issue related to fit and quality well in advance and flag any risks to the concerned parties

·         Set and manage risk assessment meetings for products with Merchandising, product developers and suppliers

·         Work closely with the Quality Manager and suppliers to make sure the right goods are inspected and shipped according to the approved quality level..

·         On time delivery with right quality is key for success so make sure that seamless communications is in place with production merchandisers for on-time delivery by achieving the right quality.

·          Be part of self-approval program and train suppliers under the supervisory of the Quality manager and conduct inline and final inspections in the factory premises as requested.

·         Manage sample checking (fit sample, pre –production samples etc) according to critical path and deadline for production.

·         Evaluate test reports and make sure that suppliers take corrective action

·         Conduct fit meetings with suppliers to approve fit/ preproduction samples, ensure that fit/block and patterns are correct for the style.

·         Visit factories regularly to make sure that processes are in place and followed up correctly.

·         Manage fit and interpretation standards on a continuous basis, ensure all vendors comply with approval process including

·         Work with the factories right from the initial stages of product development to make sure that all samples meet  technical specifications

·         Ensure that all technical packs are translated by the factories in the best way to achieve a smooth production process

·         Manage pre-production meetings with the factories to ensure all fit and interpretation comments have been actioned

·         Work closely with the vendor base to mitigate risks, take preventive action and resolve issues on a regular basis

·         Communicate regularly with UK Quality Team to ensure all fit and interpretation expectations are met, involve in technical meetings when requested and help resolve issues

·         Drive supplier performance based on supplier rating and monitor improvement on a regular basis

·         Take part of special projects such as fabric developments with fabric mills and vendors

·         Mentor , assist other team members to support the workload, share the knowledge

·         Conduct training sessions to share the knowledge with suppliers and make sure that  standards are met at each sampling stage.

You are

·         Experienced in the Textile Industry

·         Experienced in fashion and Garments across various product types including denim, swimwear, socks,

·         Have a good knowledge at pattern making & fit processes to give technical advice and bring solutions

·         Technical with a good knowledge of garment construction, fabric, print, embroidery, trim, garment

·         An analytical thinker and able to generate solutions

·         Able to work well under pressure

·         Systematical and can prioritise a workload

·         Very high attention to detail and accuracy Pro-active and logical

·         Fluent in Turkish and English language

·         Good communication and reporting skills

·         An excellent computer skills in Microsoft applications (excel / word/ power point)
