Positioning: Technical Project Manager will report into the Director of Operations for Turkey

Role Purpose:

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives within Sibelco. As a Technical Project Manager you will ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. The Technical Project Manager is the lead subject matter expert, within Sibelco, regarding He/she uses his/her industry expertise 

Responsibilities:

• Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives

• Ensure proper project planning for opening new quarries; upgrade- or modification projects in the old and new plant (total budget around 15 million EUR) for the next two years

• Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all technical personnel

• Analyze requirements, plan and develop technical specifications in accordance to Sibelco’s standards, in reference to scheduled projects

• Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates and project team members are actively working toward established goals and milestones

• Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects

• Ensure hardware and software technology options are considered and weighted by the cost/benefit analysis, especially when making large purchases on behalf of the company

• Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department

• Cooperate with the Maintenance department, to make sure the project management expertise is taken into account when updating, properly installing and correctly maintaining all production technologies

• Work along with PMO, and/or the strategic project manager, to define and assess the business alternatives/scenarios (MECE concept) and consequently outline and calulate the business case and benefits of projects, he/she will have to deal with

About you:

• Fluent in Turkish (preferably native speaker); fluent in English

• Advanced degree in engineering or related field

• Experience in managing multi-million projects with additional process engineering experience a plus

• Experience in the mining industry preferred

• Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution preferred

• Leadership experience such as mentoring and coaching as well as analytical thinking and problem-solving

• Basic financials understanding and Knowledge about most common Business Case methods and KPIs.
