 We are looking for an Quality Engineer for the Regional Quality and Environment Management under Şişecam Quality Operations Directorate located in Tuzla / Istanbul;

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferable Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
• Minimum 4 years of field/plant and project management experience in quality engineering
• Experience in quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000, or Integrated Management Systems)
• Able to use MS Office effectively, SAP and/or any Document Management System knowledge are an asset
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Continuous improvement and proactive approach
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing and presentation tools.
• No restrictions for domestic and international travels

Job Description:

• Regional quality and environmental management related to quality management and continuous improvement of daily operations in a timely and efficient manner by the function of the vision, strategy, and operations to ensure that the strategic plan is completed by the function to lead the team under quality and environmental management
• Provide input to Regional Quality & Environment Supervisor for him/her to create daily, weekly, and monthly reports and analytics and provide support in the maintenance of these reports
• Collaborating with the Quality Function teams to set quality benchmarks and aggregate local quality data (monitor and act on local KPI's)
• Ensure communication between central functions and plants within his/her region to facilitate operations regarding quality continuous improvement activities, daily inspections, certifications, new product development, customer support quality management and supplier quality management.
• Quality facility visits when it is necessary to join teams from central functions operating in the region, such as audit teams and a quality new product development support team.
• Periodically reviewing quality procedures, processes, and policies to identify opportunities for standardization and improvement
• Assist Regional Quality & Environment Supervisor with taking corrective actions and/or providing operational insight for the unachieved goals in the performance reports and KPIs
• Ensure performance reports and KPI take corrective measures and provide operational insight for unattainable targets
• Follow up the timely closure of action plans
