QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Six Senses Kaplankaya presents a mosaic of architecture, history and art, and is within easy reach many famed archaeological sites. There are 141 guestrooms including six suites (75 in the main building and 66 Ridge Villas), all boasting stunning views to the Aegean Sea. Aegean & Mediterranean-inspired fresh, sustainable cuisine interwoven with Turkish elements and flavors is the overarching theme of three dining venues, introducing ‘Eat with Six Senses’ concept by sourcing local and fresh products. The expansive 10,000 square meter Spa, Fitness and Health & Healing Center offers guests and residents a truly integrative approach to optimal wellness. Six Senses Kaplankaya is an idyllic destination for celebrations. It also has facilities to accommodate team-building programs. With many excellent guest experiences on offer, the resort can customize activities to suit active guests and guests who prefer to simply sit back and relax.

Scope

  • Solicit existing and potential customers and follow up established accounts on regular basis by phone, by correspondence or by personal contact.
  • Set up appointments and make personal sales calls, telemarketing and site inspections to all existing and potential accounts from corporate commercial accounts.
  • Follow up on lost business and bring information about them to the knowledge of the department superior.
  • Negotiate with all customers and send out offers/contracts regarding individual and group business.
  • Follow the sales and marketing results and propose corrective actions if needed.
  • Explore industry related data, new developments in certain agencies’ structures, new assignments, industrial complexes, new business centers, new projects which all could be interest and benefit of the hotel and to distribute this information to their colleagues.
  • Entertain decision makers of the Clients in the F & B outlets of the hotel and to take part in promotional activities with them.
  • Keep close follow up on developments of the competitor hotels (occupancy, structural alterations, renovation, special campaigns, rate promotions, marketing efforts, theme events etc.) Also explore and compare FIT and Group traffic (who is accommodating guests in which hotel) amongst the competitors.
  • When necessary, handle the group and individual reservation requests personally.
  • Maintain the existence of an efficient customer database system which will be capable of identifying report sales calls and other sales activities and carry out updating exercise in certain periods of time.
  • Update customers with the latest developments in the hotel and informs hotel management of all changes in the customer profile.
  • Participate preparing the sales action plans, attending sales meetings, developing new ideas such as special packages, programs, promotional activities undertaken by sales department and/or F&B. 
  • Take part in sales training programs, trade fairs / shows, sales blitzes and fam trips assigned by the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Prepare reports of each sales calls covering information about the company, their comments, requirements, complaints, of their customers etc.
  • Cover assigned accounts in a designated Segment or geographic area and visit them at least twice annually.
  • On weekly basis, prepare an activity report which will cover sales call reports, site inspections, fam trips, new agencies, meetings, entertainment and other functions they participated in during the week and presents to Sales Director.
  • Determine and recommend prospective customers by analyzing all available information, participating in conducting customer interviews and preparing customer action plans.?
  • Within established parameters quote and negotiate prices with customer representatives confirming reservations by letter and drawing up contracts; to close the transaction.?
  • Upon closing, coordinate and follow-up with conference services and/or other resort departments to ensure delivery of exceptional guest service.?

Qualifications

  • Turkish nationality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in S&M department in a luxury lifestyle brand
  • Excellent command over written and spoken English and Turkish.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.
  • Knowledge of hotel/resort’s policies regarding reservations, discounts and detailed procedures in handling local and overseas room bookings.
  • Good all round knowledge of Hotel operations.
  • Familiar with various Hotel booking platforms, CRM, POS systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Well aware of Bodrum market.
  • Flexible with domestic and regional travel as required.
  • Excellent sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer.
  • Great attention to details.
  • Active personal involvement with the sales strategy/process, with emphasis on continuing to increase visibility and positioning of the hotel.
  • Able to converse and resolve guest complaints/issues in a calm and professional manner.
  • Can identify priorities and effectively execute tasks/projects accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Energetic with a positive attitude.
