QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are one of Europe’s leading integrated solar power companies with a presence in Solar IPP, Solar EPC, and PV module manufacturing. Headquartered in İstanbul, Turkey, we offer complete solar solutions - from setting up solar power plants to providing innovative solar products for commercial and retail users. 

Established in the year 2009, we have an extensive presence in southeast Europe with over 500 employees, one manufacturing facility, 7 Offices located in Turkey, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland, and Ukraine. 

In our manufacturing facility in Gebze, Kocaeli, we manufacture highly efficient solar PV modules based on crystalline silicon technology for on-grid & off-grid solar power plants, commercial rooftop, and land-based solar power projects. With 23.500m2 indoor space and our state-of-the-art automated production lines to ensure the highest quality standards in producing both standard and dual glass modules using the latest PERC, Half Cut Cell, and Bi-Facial solar module technologies up to 12 Busbars totaling to an 1000MW yearly capacity. 

Smart Energy currently owns and operates solar IPP sites in Turkey, Romania, Greece, and Bulgaria with 100+ MW capacity, and another 60MW under construction. 

With a portfolio of more than 500+ MW in utility-scale & rooftop solar EPC projects, we possess years of expertise in constructing utility-scale and rooftop solar power plants of all sizes.

We are looking for a “Business Development Executive” who has experience on solar, wind and renewable energy sectors, to strengthen our Business Development Team.  

 

General Qualifications

  • Bachelors degreeideally in engineering or science (MBA or a masters degree coupled with financeis a plus)
  • 5-10 years experiencein business development/sales management in the renewable energy sector (solar sector knowledge is a plus)
  • Comprehensive knowledge on all processes of Engineering, Procurement and Construction
  • Financial structuring is desired
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (additional languageis a plus)
  • Excellent MS Office skills, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent negotiation skills in various cultural environments and with various stakeholders
  • Ability to evaluate and convey complex concepts/opportunities to others in an effective manner through persuasive communication, negotiating skills and clear presentation skills in both verbal and written contexts
  • Being flexible in working hours and have no travel restrictions
  • Last but not least, a proactive approach to business


Job Description

  • Explore opportunities in the PV market in Turkey and abroad for EPC business
  • Convert leads into opportunities and manage the internal RFQ process
  • Formulate strategies for bidding in public and private tenders
  • Present proposals with prospective clients and customers
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence and report on activities
  • Work closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to develop project proposals and bidding packages
  • Reviews and compares contract terms and conditions with company contract standards, and conduct commercial negotiation
  • Set up and facilitate meetings between client decision makers and Companys practice leaders/principals
  • Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members
  • Coordinate team activities for timely responses, submittals, presentations, and proposals
  • Represent the Company at trade show, industry conference and community events

More than 6 years of experience
Bachelor’s(Graduate), Master’s(Graduate), Doctorate(Student)
Completed, Exempt
