What is the role?

Turkey's fastest-growing company SmartMessage, which operates in IT is looking for a "Financial Control Manager" within the Financial Affairs Directorate.

Reporting to the CFO, the position will be mainly responsible for;

•Review, control, and report of R&D and Teknopark Accounting Systems.

•Planning and effective usage of R&D and Teknopark Incentives

•Review and control of tax declarations of the Company.

•Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly managerial reports, statutory accounts, financial analysis, and business information,

•Actively participate in the IFRS budgeting process

•Review the monthly budget and actual figures while gathering explanations for the variances,

•Review KPIs regularly and proactively guide management for improvement of overall financial performance

•Participate in the preparation of yearly IFRS financial and external audit process

•Development and implementation of controlling and reporting systems and templates,

•Supporting the designing of controlling processes.

•Determine development areas regarding balance sheet, cost, expenditure items, and follow up achievement levels on targets mentioned.

•Define ideal standards for the financial processes of the Company, financial reporting standards, and legal standards.

•Identify the steps to be taken to improve the as-is status to the ideal status for each financial process of the Company.

•Support in establishing effective internal control systems for the Group.

•Monitoring internal controls,

•Preparing adhoc reports demanded by the management.

We are looking for a passionate talent who has;

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields from a reputable university

•At least 2 years of experience in auditing, financial reporting and/or budgeting,

•At least 5 years of knowledge of R&D Accounting and Teknopark Accounting

•Strong knowledge of IFRS and legal Turkish accounting,

•Good usage of MS Office applications

•Previous experience with Microsoft Navision will be an asset

•Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant certificates as an asset,

•English proficiency is a must

•Result oriented with a clear focus on quality and delivery

•Strong communication skills

•Ability to succeed in a team environment, proven skills in analytical thinking and detail-oriented, strong problem solving, creativity and negotiation skills,

•Ability to work alone and in a team depending on the situation.
