Mechanical Engineer Receiving Terminal

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Receiving Terminal office in Kıyıköy. In this role, you will provide discipline engineering expertise and leadership for Mechanical part of operational activities. You will be responsible for the onshore facilities at Turkish side of the TurkStream offshore pipeline related to the Mechanical equipment (pipelines, valves, PIG traps, separators, water bath heaters, HIPPS, gas metering stations, Fuel gas treatment unit, piping etc.) and discipline. Therefore, previous experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning and operation is mandatory (construction and operation internship experience would be an asset).

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• At least 10 years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a large gas pipeline construction project (onshore pipeline installation, gas plant construction, onshore gas facilities);
• Good knowledge of the operational activities for the mechanical equipment related to the gas transportation industry;
• Experience with high-end technology, advanced domestic and abroad foreign experience in the operation of offshore gas transportation systems and main pipelines;
• Knowledge of the following systems and equipment is required: Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), shutdown and control valves, valves instrumentation, HIIPPS, PIG traps, water bath heaters, gas separators, gas-metering stations;
• Experience with Emergency response planning and Emergency communication chart during situations;
• Experience with International, European, Russian norms and codes related to pre-commissioning, commissioning and operations of the mechanical equipment in a gas industry;
• Knowledge of Offshore standard DET NORSKE VERITAS DNV-OS-F101 SUBMARINE PIPELINE SYSTEMS is mandatory as a main design code for the project;
• Fluent in Russian and English, good knowledge Turkish language – both written and oral is a plus.

Job Description:

• Organize and supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning and operational activities, including repair and maintenance activities of the mechanical part of the equipment executed by the Contractors;
• Coordinate and supervise Contractor’s engineering and design activities in their specific areas of control, verification and contractor supervision from the pre-commissioning, commissioning and operational point of view for the Receiving Terminal;
• Ensure availability and completeness of the design of the mechanical equipment (technical specification, data sheets, etc.) in compliance with the requirements of the safety rules, standards and operational manuals;
• Develop instructions, regulations, manuals and procedures associated with the pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation, maintenance and repair, decommissioning and conservation of the mechanical equipment;
• Develop and control under implementation of PTW system and CMMS at RT;
• Interface with Company Partners, Contractors, Specialist Consultants and Vendors;
• Liaise with HSSE, QA/QC, CPI teams and other project Teams;
• Assure Mechanical equipment operational deliverables in accordance with Project standards/specifications;
• Prepare and approve in due course the requests (specifications) for supply of equipment, emergency stock, materials and spare parts for operational needs, production needs, planned maintenance and capital repair;
• Monitor ongoing construction activities;
• Supervise the selection of potential pre-commissioning, commissioning, operational and maintenance contractors;
• Coordinate commissioning and hand-over of mechanical equipment and related systems to operational phase;
• Perform technical documentation review;
• Act as a technical focal point for Contractors with regard to pre-commissioning, commissioning and operational issues with mechanical equipment;
• Coordinate and resolve engineering issues within the Receiving Terminal;
• Perform interface management across all Project phases with engineering contractors / design companies and partner with regard to engineering deliverables (vendors / engineering contractors);
• Supervise project risk management in own discipline area;
• Participate in the development of the specifications related to operation related software;
• Manage technology development studies;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
