QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a remote position. You will be based in Turkey but working for a U.S.-based company.
Sports Licensing Solutions, based in Atlanta, GA, USA, is the leading manufacturer of officially licensed home décor and automotive accessories with NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and NCAA licenses. Established in 2003, Sports Licensing Solutions has achieved record sales in each of the past 19 years since the birth of our company. We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated SQL Developer to join our team to contribute to our ongoing growth.
The SQL Developer will report to the President and is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to fit the business processes; extracting and manipulating data for reporting; and supporting existing applications. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications and databases
- Manage projects to develop new databases/applications including: requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, optimization, and maintenance
- Document database design and implementation (flowcharts, user training manuals, data models)
- Develop advanced reports and ad-hoc queries for business departments
- Maintain the integrity of the database records
- Work with end-users to troubleshoot issues and provide resolution as required
Typical duties will include:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications and databases using SQL Server management Studio, SQL reporting Services, Microsoft Access, C#/ VB / VBA, SQL Queries.
- Manage projects to develop new applications or processes including information gathering, development, testing, implementation, fine tuning and maintenance.
- Document database design and implementation (flowcharts, user training manuals, data models).
- Automate manual business and technical processes by using C#, VB.NET, VBA for use across global applications.
- Develop advanced reports for business department using SQL Reporting Services, VBA in Microsoft Access, Excel, Crystal Reports.
- Create ad-hoc queries and reports for business department for management and internal and external audits.
- Maintain the integrity of the database header / detail records.
- Troubleshoot issues with proprietary applications.
- User support with existent and new applications, queries, forms, and reports.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a SQL developer utilizing Microsoft SQL through version 2016
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a web or windows application developer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience writing complex queries (working with complex joins, temp tables, string manipulation, data reconciliation, query tuning, user defined functions, views, indexes, denormalization, etc.)
- Experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, Jobs, API’s, .NET Framework
- Experience performing data analysis and developing data validation scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of migrated data
- Experience developing Websites, SharePoint Sites, Web Applications, Windows Applications, Mobile Apps (Android and iOS)
- Critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving capabilities, and application support experience
- Ability to define and prioritize IT project requirements
- This is a full-time position but you will need to work a minimum of 4 hours per day during U.S. Eastern Time Zone business hours
- The gross salary for this position is $2,500 per month. You will be responsible for your own health insurance, employment taxes & deductions, etc.
