Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of related experience in chemical companies,
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, preferably a Master’s degree is sought,
• Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus,
• Strong communication skills and adaptability,
• Ability to work effectively across global organizations.

Skills

• Experience in materials science and analytical chemistry; affinity to EPDM, TPV chemistry,
• Independent research ability with capability to perform accurately and efficiently with a minimal level of supervision,
• Familiarity with one or more of the following instruments: thermal (DSC, TGA), mechanical (Instron, Zwick), or optical (FTIR-ATR, UV-Vis, fluorescence, TEM/SEM, microscope),
• Ability to characterize materials; compounding, extrusion, and injection molding of polymers,
• Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate reports and scientific abstracts,
• Statistical Analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage lab processes, supplies, instruments, and equipment,
• Research & develop formulas,
• Manage alternative materials research,
• Maintain relationships and monitor changes within the industry, cooperate with suppliers of raw materials and base materials like CB, Polymers, Oil,
• Keeping accurate records of research activities, write research reports.
