Being an international contractor with diversified interests and operations spread to 4 continents and 11 countries since 1989, Summa is looking for a Legal Counsel to be located at the Head Office in İstanbul, Seyrantepe.    

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Law,
• Excellent command both written and spoken English. French is a plus,
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Corporate Lawyer,
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills required; including the ability to work effectively in multicultural environment,
• Comfortable with communication and providing appropriate challenge at operational board level as contributor and strategic legal advisor,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel,
• Strong managerial, analytical, planning and problem solving skills,
• Strong communication skills,
• No military obligation for male candidates.

Job Descriptions

• Monitor and provide guidance on prospective regulations, legislation, and other legal developments relevant to our global sector and advise senior management on best practices for legal strategies,
• Serve as the Compliance Officer and prepare risk assessment reports related to compliance matters,
• Carry out procedures stemming from corporate law (management board resolutions, registration etc.) and secure a number of group companies being compliant with the requirements of corporate law,
• Translate, edit, review and draft all kinds of contracts including construction, investments, operations and supply agreements, coordinated legal relations of local subsidiaries and negotiate the agreements,
• Research and analyze complex legal issues and questions related to labor law,
• Monitor and coordinate the outsource legal counsels that assist litigation,
• Participate in company lawsuits, following up on current and future lawsuits,
• Coordination and communication between Turkish and overseas law offices.
