QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Since its formation 1998, Tarsus Group has built a diverse portfolio of leading brands that span a wide range of industries. Tarsus has developed a solid international customer base whilst forging a strong presence in local markets and nurturing a loyal team with exceptional market knowledge.

Tarsus Group became active in the Turkish market in 2011. Tarsus Turkey itself was established in 2018 and runs a total of eight market leading B2B events covering seven different industries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leading the sales team and maintaining the new customer portfolio.
  • Proposing and agreeing an efficient sales strategy in line with yearly budgets and targets.
  • Working with the marketing team to establish and maintain relationships with public bodies such as trade association, federations and unions.
  • Identifying potential clients using advertising campaigns, mailing lists and ledgers from past events.
  • Opening and servicing new accounts.
  • Soliciting business from potential clients through phone calls and emails.
  • Travelling to client appointments, Tarsus Turkey events, industry events.
  • Developing, implementing and selling sponsorship customised to clients/market.
  • Maintaining constant contact with existing clients as well as new clients to learn and develop knowledge of their company/products as well as industry news.
  • Managing and maintaining client interaction through CRM.
  • Sharing sales best practice and supporting other show managers with their procets where needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Incumbent must have a university degree and/or least three years equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Experience with CRM preferred.
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to multi task.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail - oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
