Project Engineer - Chemical Processes and Coatings

Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “Project Engineer - Chemical Processes and Coatings”and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft and industrial engine repair processes, in a technology base located in Gebze, Kocaeli which is being established by General Electric Aviation, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and  TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.). 

Expected qualification, requirements and desired characteristics from candidates are as below: 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from relevant departments of universities (Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, etc.).
• Eager to work in laboratory and research & development activities.
• Knowledge on corrosion preventive coating processes used in Aviation or Automotive Industry such as painting, plating, anodizing, etc. 
• Familiar to perform/evaluate testing/analysis for corrosion and material characterization.
• Fast in action with detailed technical review and good documentation.
• Strong team work and communication skills, eager to learn continuously.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with REACh regulation.
• Experience with and knowledge of surface related phenomena, aviation chemicals and qualification testing.
• Experience on using project management tools and process/product development approaches such as TRL/MRL.
• Proven self-starter and independent worker who can work with cross-functional teams.

Job Description: 

The successful candidate will:

• Work on the development projects for chemical coating processes/technologies.
• Support on Chemical Coating Development Lab activities in TTC such as coating/painting of metallic test panels, performing corrosion tests, performing metallographic evaluation etc.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with Engineering policies and procedures.
• Communicate and present technical results, project status, business issues, and significant developments to project manager.
• Develop and implement the plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
• Create action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
