SENIOR ANDROID DEVELOPER

As a Senior Android Application Developer, will be responsible for design and development of on demand services applications on Android platforms, as well as applications requested by customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Design, build, test, and maintain our websites, databases, APIs, and other technology resources Source, monitor, and maintain our cloud-based servers and applications

·       Play a key role in large, complex technical projects that achieve key business goals

·       Ensure day-to-day tasks are performed correctly, following protocols and best practices 

·       Work with other team leaders to achieve project goals on time

·       Inform senior leadership of new tech ideas, products, and approaches that could help the business grow and improve customer experiences

·       Work with Product, Quality, DevOps and Ops to ensure that we deliver the best possible customer experience

·       Be available as necessary to troubleshoot urgent issues

·       Adhere to Product and workflow processes, engaging with the team to make continual improvements

·       Be a technical thought-leader among your peers to constantly improve how we work

REQUIREMENTS

·       +5 years of Android application development experience

·       Proven experience in Android development – with some apps to your name

·       Expert coding abilities in Java

·       Strong OO design and coding skills

·       Ability to deal with ambiguity, and willingness to help debug difficult issues

·       Experience working on a development team that practices Agile/scrum methodologies

·       Strong architecture, analytical and design skills

·       Experience with Android SDK and/or Android Studio

·       Familiar with best practices and design patterns for object-oriented programming

·       Contribute to software design and architecture

·       Develop new applications and maintain/extend existing programs
