QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants, and museums. A great opportunity to work in an exciting Signature Restaurant, The Peninsula Istanbul is looking for its F&B Supervisor to ensure the highest standards of customer service together with Peninsula Service Principles.

 Key accountabilities 
  • Always ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
  • Understands all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
  • Understand Peninsula Service Principles to core and apply in every aspect of service and team work. Looks for improvement for better service standard with a general theme of anticipating the guests' needs.
  • Ensure co-operation and smooth communication between staff in sections appointed and other departments.
  • Motivates, supervises the department employees in maintaining a culture in compliance with mission, vision and core values of HSH. 
  • Assist to weekly staff roster / training schedules to Restaurant Manager and ARM.
  • Observe staff individual performance / grooming / punctuality, and performs staff appraisal / disciplinary action if required.
  General requirements 
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
  • Good organization skills & Time management.
  • Good trainer skills in order to ensure service excellency.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or Standalone).
  • Supervisory experience in complex operation in large scale restaurant.
  • Degree or Diploma in hotel management. 
  • High level understanding of food and beverage knowledge.
