About The Peninsula Istanbul


The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants and museums. 


As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire a Lobby Manager.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Always ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
  • Handles, or relays to EAM, F&B or Assistant Director F&B, F&B manager, all guest and internal customer complaints, and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Works closely with other departments such as Sales & Marketing to conceptualize and implement dynamic marketing programs to drive marketing/PR activities for the outlet.
  • Ensures all staff actively follows the HACCP standards, participates in the preservation of the environment and reuse, recycle or reduce whenever possible.
  • Ensures productivity levels are concurrently met and understands the need to prudently manage utility/payroll costs within stipulated budgetary requirements.
  • Ensures that all areas within responsibility operate in line with maximizing profit while delivering on the excellence in product and service.
  • Hires, develops, motivates, supervises, and performance manages department employees in maintaining a culture in compliance with mission, vision, values and cores principles HSH. 


General requirements


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or Standalone). 
  • Managed complex operation in large scale restaurant.
  • Degree or Diploma in hotel management.
  • Able to train and motivate team to deliver exceptional service encounters.
  • Fluent English and Turkish communication proficiency.
  • All-encompassing food and beverage knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and time management.
  • A high-level understanding of the Istanbul market, and experience in high luxury casual dining.
