QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION


As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire a People & Culture Executive to support Assistant Director of People & Culture managing the daily operations of the office and assists with a variety of human resource-related activities.

Key accountabilities

 

 
  • Assists the Assistant Director of People and Culture in handling all facets of human resources which includes employee relations, industrial relations, and other HR-related support services.
  • Assist Assistant Director of People and Culture to plan, organise and control human resources programs that will ensure an effective organization structure, qualified and motivated workforce, and adequate job satisfaction.
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Assist with payroll and HR projects.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Update and maintain the human resources data base (SuccessFactors)
  • Support HR operational excellence including health and safety, staff engagement and administration.
  • Support and participate in various HR initiatives and projects including but not limited to wellness & engagement programs, annual staff party, birthday celebrations, company culture and branding. 

 


General requirements

 

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within in a Luxury Hotel environment.
  • Fluent English and Turkish communication proficiency. 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff up to leadership.  Be a team player with genuine care for employees. Limitless energy and personal motivation to succeed.
  • Good communication skills, high level of commitment and the ability to complete task according to tight timelines. 
  • Sharp problem-solving, attention to details and able to prioritise work tasks in an effective manner.

About The Peninsula Istanbul

The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants and museums. The hotel is currently scheduled to open at early 2023.
