QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The Peninsula Istanbul is located in the historic Karaköy area overlooking the Bosphorus – the meeting point of Asia and Europe. The hotel will feature 177 luxurious guest rooms and suites, a grand ballroom with sweeping views of the Bosphorus, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa and a verdant garden on the waterfront. As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire a Signature Restaurant Director of Entertainment.

Key accountabilities 

• Ensuring entertaintment program in the restaurant managing and implementing in standards. 
• Overseeing all entertaintment activities creatively and innovatively and developing new programs.
• Anticipate and evaluate the market needs pertaining to the entertaintment expectations, considering the local market, guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to ensure guest satisfactions.
• Instigate a continuous improvement mindset in the department to drive employee engagement and maintain market positioning with exceptional financial returns.
• Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with Guests, Team Members, contractors.
• Upon opening, ensure customer feedback is communicated throughout the F&B department to ensure the operation is customer centric.  
• Follow up and ensure reservations, VIP bookings and critical requests are personally managed and open communication with the team is maintained.

  General requirements 

• Ability to manage labour, contractor cost control, budgeting, forecasting and P&L. 
• High capability of persuasion and solution-oriented thinking.
• 4 to 5 years experience in the domestic and overseas restaurants at high standards in the relevant fields in food & beverage industry entertaintment in a similar role within diverse Restaurant and Bar complex.
• Graduated from College or University preferable hospitality management departments.
• Detail oriented with the ability to project manage a large restaurant opening and beyond. 
• Fluent and excellent command of speaking and writing communication skills in Turkish and English.
• Good command of Microsoft Office programs.
