Technicians play an integral role in the success of the resource revolution here at TOMRA Collection Turkey. They are responsible for delivering high quality service to ensure enhanced machine performance and an excellent customer experience. Due to continued investment globally, we are looking for solutions driven and proactive Technician to join the team and make an impact with our customers. Founded in 1972, TOMRA provides reverse vending solutions for Clean Loop Recycling, collecting aluminum, plastic and glass beverage containers to be continually reused and recycled back into new bottles and cans. As the inventor and the world’s leading manufacturer of Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) with over 80,000 installations across more than 60 markets, TOMRA captures over 40 billion used beverage containers every year toward a closed loop. This reduces reliance on raw materials, and ensures fewer containers end up in our streets, oceans and landfills. TOMRA’s machines, digital solutions and service make recycling easy for the industry, system owners, retailers and consumers to contribute to a more sustainable planet. As a part of  contributing to a more sustainable planet, Turkey introduced Deposit-Return Scheme and we are looking for Technicians who will be in charge of the Reverse Vending Machines which is the backbone of Deposit-Return Scheme.

Job Description

As a member of TOMRA Collection Turkey Team you will be installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing TOMRA's reverse vending machines within Turkey to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction. The installations include reverse vending machines as well as conveyors, sensors, mobile comms and other equipment. You will be required to interface with our customers (sites who host the installations) and also to travel extensively within designated geographical area in Turkey.

The main duties include:

·       Installation: After training, Technician will be involved in the commissioning of RVM installations.

·       Corrective Servicing: Analyzing, diagnosing and rectifying equipment issues to minimize downtime of RVM installations.

·       Preventative servicing: Service and maintain installed equipment including scheduled maintenance visits.

·       Reporting on service assignments and faults (online and/or paper)

·       Driving for long periods as required for the above; attending to some occasional call-outs outside your area; attending to call-outs outside business hours as and when required.

·       Providing excellent customer service to our customers and members of the public.

 

Other duties include:

·       Conduct training sessions on use and basic maintenance of systems if required.

·       Manage and control tools, test equipment, technical documentation and other assigned equipment

·       Perform all mechanical and electronics tuning and setup

·       Ensure that your equipment, spares and van kit is always complete according to inventory list.

·       Analyze areas of potential improvement of products and report to local service team

·       Stay informed and up to date with TOMRA’s RVMs and products.

·       Undertake cleaning of equipment

·       Assisting the installation of new Kiosks

Qualifications

About you:

We are looking for a team member who will build TOMRA Collection in Turkey together with us in passion and dedication;  can represent TOMRA and take pride in what they do and can build a strong customer service relationship with our customers who have our equipment installed.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·       At least 4+ years satisfactory experience in electro-mechanical service or maintenance position.

·       Previous experience interacting face to face with customers

·       Diagnostic and analytical capabilities, especially in relation to mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.

·       Mechanical: Able to read mechanical drawings

·       Electrical: Able to read wiring schematics.

·       Electronic: Have experience troubleshooting electronic equipment. Eventually this position will need to be able to replace circuit boards, sensors and other electronic components of the RVM.

·       Customer Service: Must be personable; have very good customer service skills; be able to maintain relationships with staff of TOMRA’s customers and partners; must be able to communicate effectively.

·       Driving: Candidates must have an unrestricted drivers license; be capable of and willing to drive for extended periods; as well as be able to effectively navigate to and from RVM locations.

·       Safety: Able to demonstrate strong awareness of safety procedures and practices in previous positions; previous training in work place safety practices are well regarded.

·       We are also looking for people whose past history demonstrates:

o   professionalism

o   the ability to work independently

o   reliability

o   a sense of pride in what they do

·       Relevant qualifications or certification in electrical, electronic, mechanical or mechatronic engineering would be well regarded.

·       Must be able to speak and understand English and Turkish.
