Structural Analysis - Senior Engineer

Job Description:

Strength Analysis & Integrity department is looking for structural engineers who will assess the life and structural integrity of turbofan engine components. The tasks shall also include methodology development for the lifing of hot and cold section components.

Responsibilities:

• Hand calculations and FEA for loads, stress and fatigue analysis,
• LCF\HCF and Creep Analysis of aero-engine components,
• Total Life Estimation of aero-engine components,
• Lead and prepare structural test requests (static & fatigue) of aero-engines including instrumentation definition,
• Evaluate and document the test results,
• Developing subroutines and simple codes in Matlab, Python, APDL or any other programming language,
• Preparation of analysis methodologies,
• Documentation of results, best practices and methods,
• Mentor less experienced engineers and help them develop technical skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, MSc. or PhD in a related field is preferred,
• Fluent in English,
• 5+ year experience in the structural analysis (static and fatigue) and life calculation of aero structures is preferred,
• Experience with NX Nastran, ANSYS or another FEM software,  
• Experience in preparing test requests (static & fatigue) , evaluating and documenting test results,
• Experience on related military or commercial standards (such as MIL-E-5007D,etc.).
