Senior Robot Automation Engineer

Role Overview:

Work with engineering team and sales team to conceptualize, build, integrate, test and validate robot automation systems.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all the aspects of robot automation projects

- Meet clients to understand, collect, and document their automation requirements & objectives

- Design, program, simulate, and integrate robotic systems (mechanical, electrical, & pneumatic)

- Make projects estimations & quotations

- Select/design & integrate robot tools & grippers

- Make weight & cycle time calculations, and risk assessments 

- Install, calibrate, operate, and maintain robotic systems

- Analyze existing automation systems & integrate them with robotic systems

- Document robotic project development, maintenance, or changes.

- Provide technical support for robotic systems

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- +7 years hands-on experience in managing & implementing robotic automation projects

- Knowledge & experience in robotic cell & robot systems design

- Experience in online & offline robot arm programming

- Proven experience in implementing different robot applications such as welding, packing, palletizing, painting, assembly, .. and other applications.

- Knowledge & experience in mechanical design softwares like SolidWorks, Siemens NX or Autodesk

- Knowledge & experience in the design of production line mechanisms

- Knowledge & experience in PLC, HMI, SCADA programming

- Knowledge & experience in servo motors and servo drives programming

- Knowledge & experience in machinery sensors like photo, proximity sensors, encoders .. etc.

- Ability to design and implement electrical control systems

- Knowledge & experience in communication protocols used in automation systems

- Knowledge in vision systems and image recognition

- Knowledge in hydraulic & pneumatic systems

- B.Sc. degree in mechatronics engineering or related fields

- Resourcefulness & problem solving
