General Requirements
- B.Sc / M.Sc / Ph.D degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a reputable university in Turkey or abroad
- 2 years minimum of professional experience in R&D and product development initiatives
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas is required: Controller/Algorithm Design and Implementation, Optimization Methodologies, System Dynamics, Modeling, Data Acquiring and Post Processing.
- Experience in microcontroller architectures and embedded systems
- Experience in model-based design & development and testing embedded systems & software
- Good system expertise and understanding of powertrains and transmissions in general
- General knowledge of transmission and/or hydraulic control systems
- Fluency in English to support international work environment
- No restriction in travelling abroad
- No military service obligation for male candidates until 2021
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills

- Living in or able to relocate to Istanbul

- Design of experiments (DoE) knowledge is an asset
- School Project participation on transmissions will be considered as an asset
Role
- Communicate with international client/teams and act as a bridge between them and development team
- Create software requirements, detailed design from system requirements
- Ability to analyze and develop requirements of Transmission control unit
- Modeling system based on requirements (GT-suite, Simulink etc)
- Designing control algorithms and model for various control features of Transmission control unit (UDS,OBD2,ISO 26262, SAE J1939,CAN,LIN)
- Experience in Automotive Diagnostics and Network communication platforms like CAN,LIN Ethernet , etc..
- Create requirements for component design, testing, and validation
- Perform verification of optimized systems on test bench
- Perform the concept design and analysis of hydraulic transmission control systems
- Perform the simulation of hydraulic systems for the purpose of concept validation
- Perform detail design of hydraulic transmission control systems including 2D-3D drawings and manufacturing tolerances.
- Support vehicle integration and functional development for transmission control units and hydraulic systems
- Develop transmission hardware to optimize system performance (improve durability, reliability and fuel economy, reduce cost)
- Interaction with domestic and international suppliers and contractors
- Management of outsource test and development activities
- Plan and execute required testing to demonstrate transmission hydraulics functionality and reliability (managing instrumentation, powertrain controls interface and test rigs)
- Work with component engineers to develop transmission design to meet requirements
- Take part for resolution of identified technical problems during qualification tests both on test rigs or on vehicle
Profile- Masters degree in Engineering, BS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Must demonstrate a sound understanding of mechanical and control engineering principles
- Knowledge and understanding of internal combustion engines, transmission, driveline components and their integration
- Solid understanding of transmission technology particularly MT, AMT, AT, DCT, CVT, Clutches and hydraulic control
- Experience with Transmission Test & Development
- Strong knowledge on automotive technology
- Knowledge and experience of hydraulic system and their applications on transmission controls
- Strong numeric and literacy skills
- Should have well-rounded knowledge with a high degree of competency in multiple disciplines
- Able to demonstrate a methodical approach to problem solving
- Data acquisition experience with imc STUDIO and imc FAMOS
- Experience with some of the following software packages:
- LMS Test.Lab , imc FAMOS or NI LabVIEW
- MATLAB, Simulink
- AMESIM, FLowmaster or SimHydraulics
- GT-Suite or AVL Cruise or similar programs
