YOUR ROLE

• The Electrical Automation Engineer position will utilize technology to improve, optimize and automate packaging and processing operations within the plant, provide leadership in all areas involving electrical engineering, controls, instrumentation & provide troubleshooting expertise & maintenance support to all areas of the facility
• Safety leadership is a fundamental aspect of the role and is part of everyone’s responsibility 
• Identifying areas of improvement opportunity & execute solutions utilizing automation skills & the latest technology  
• Defining, designing, executing & startup electrical, control & instrumentation projects & supporting capital project installations in these areas
• Providing leadership & mentoring to members of the plant’s electrical & controls team by developing a deep understanding of existing processes, equipment & controls & successfully transferring the knowledge to the team.  
• Supporting off hours downtime events or project startups

YOUR SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required with 2 or more years of experience
• Strong skills in control and HMI software applications (Siemens PCS7, Siemens TIA Portal,) 
• Strong electrical design, construction and instrumentation skills  
• Execute all Control & Automation Engineering activities
• SAP knowledge is preferable 
• Communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Competent in problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of people
