Direct Purchasing

Experience, Education and Skills Required:

·       Bachelor of Industrial, Mechanical, Material or Automotive Engineering degree and/or Master degree from a reputable university

·       Min. 5 years of direct material procurement experience in Automotive sector, OEM is preferable

·       Extensive knowledge on one of following direct categories: Trim, E&E, Chassis, Body and Sheet Metal

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Strong self-motivation, ability to promote new ideas, share them with the team and develop them further together

·       Ability to understand and improve cross-departmental processes in interdisciplinary teams

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

·       Ability to work abroad and with a global team

Responsibilities: 

·       Closely cooperating with engineering and quality departments optimizing potential buying leverage

·       Create and implement direct purchasing cycle

·       Standardization of equipment and contracts by categories

·       Comparing and selecting the optimum supplier and offer considering price, quality, logistics

·       Managing all tender process with vendors including master agreement and frame agreement contracts in coordination with Legal, Engineering, Logistic Operations and Finance

·       Defining purchasing strategy, making price negotiations

·       Running localization and potential saving projects (Design to cost studies, follow sampling process, etc.)

·       Follow-up of project, standardization, ERP and KPI management

·       Knowledge of stamping, plastics and decorative plastics

·       Realization of SPM (Supplier Production Management) system
