Power Electronics Engineer

Experience, Education and Skills Required:

• Bachelor of E&E Engineering or higher degree from reputable universities
• 5+ years hands-on hardware experience in power electronics and/or electric machines
• Strong understanding of Power Electronics Topologies
• Knowledge of Electric Machines and Drives
• Work experience on Switched Mode Operation, Switching Waveforms
• Understanding of Power Converters (DC/DC, AC/DC)
• Experience of Power Inverters (DC/AC)
• Strong knowledge of Magnetics
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC
• Strong knowledge on CAD/CAE Tools for Power Electronics and Magnetics
• Experience of Magnetic Components
• Understanding of Analog and/or Digital Circuits
• Work experience on High Voltage Power Semiconductors
• Knowledge of PCB Layout and Fabrication
• Experience on Functional Safety for Automotive is a plus
• Understanding of Electrical Safety Requirements for Automotive is a plus
• Knowledge of EMC Requirements for Automotive is an asset
• Knowledge of Automotive Hardware Verification / Validation is an asset
• Experience on CAN/Ethernet/LIN Communication Interfaces is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong self-motivation, ability to promote new ideas, share them with the team and develop them further together
• Ability to understand and improve cross-departmental processes in interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work abroad and within a global team

Responsibilities:

• Participate in automotive dc/dc converter, battery charger, electrical traction machine, and inverter component developments from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software and mechanical engineers to ensure successful development, validation and manufacturing of power components.
• Ownership of hardware, starting from specification to development, prototyping and validation.
