QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
LOOKING FOR FULL TIME ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT FOR OUR HEAD OFFICE IN KADIKOY, ISTANBUL
Position Description:
Provide administrative and financial services for our operations in Turkey.
Directly reporting to Company Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable for vendor invoices and ensure accounts are up to date.
- Process invoices for payment to our Financial Accountant Center outside of Turkey.
- Coordinate and communicate with customers and vendors in connection with accounts payable and accounts receivable issues.
- Assist accountant with billing and accounts receivable.
- Assist and comply with all internal and external audit requests.
- Assist financial team in preparation and maintenance of all financial reports associated with profit center or project.
- Responsible for processing assets.
- Prepare bank, balance sheet, and miscellaneous reconciliations.
- Track employee expense reports and miscellaneous general expenses.
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or corresponding international degree) from accredited and credentialed degree program, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Minimum 8/10 years related experience
- Must have English language proficiency with professional oral & written communication skills due to constant interaction with other Financial departments outside of Turkey.
- General knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Must be accountable to escalate issues promptly, learn and apply knowledge quickly, and meet deadlines
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, maintain accuracy, and self-check work
- Able to work independently, with some oversight, and in team environment
- Assume personal and professional responsibilities for own actions and activities
- Must follow established procedures and execute directions to completion
- Must have good work ethic, integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities
- Computer data entry, database and MS Office skills, intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
