HR Specialist (10-month contract) - Istanbul Airport

Your department 

Airports EMEA Service Operations is responsible for execution of service contracts and projects throughout the EMEA organization and is growing year-by-year strongly. With over 600 employees and multiple site based teams, operating in over 30 countries throughout the region at leading airports. Our promise is to supply the “best in class” services to our customers so we are able to improve the competitive position of our customers in its market. 

 Your position

As Human Resources Specialist, you are responsible for the full support of day-to-day HR activities at Vanderlande’s Istanbul Airport operations, which is run by 60 professionals mainly from IT and engineering background. The HR activities mentioned cover the handling of recruitment arrangements, onboarding – offboarding procedures, other employee relations during the complete employee lifecycle, and as well as the related documentation and filing. You will be working closely with the related HR departments / colleagues in the headquarter in the Netherlands to make sure all practices are in line with the required company and legal standards. You will be the first point of contact both for employees and for the headquarter in HR matters. 

As the HR representative in Istanbul, you will be supporting the Service Manager and HR Manager in HR projects / requests as the need arise.

In this function, you will report to the Service Manager Istanbul Airport. 

Your profile

 - You have the related vocational or university degree 

- 1 to 2 years of HR Specialist experience in all HR functions preferably in an international company 

- You have the general information on the current HR practices and related laws, including the international mobility procedures 

- You have a good MS Office user practice, familiar with the use of an HRIS (preferably Workday) 

- You have a professional approach to all employee relations matters, a mature support to the management 

- You are customer oriented, proactive, and meticulous when it comes to details, documenting, reporting and filing 

- You have excellent communication skills, writing and speaking, in the Turkish and the English language 

- Living in Istanbul or willing to move there, within commuting distance of the new airport
