Database Administrator

• Building and administering database environments to ensure high availability
• Analysing and developing data related reports
• Performing troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause analysis for database and application specific incidents
• Executing database performance analysis and tuning
• Carrying out Database backup and recovery operations, database patching and upgrades, and implementation of database security policies.
• Partnering with project technical leads and development teams to execute technical solutions in line with company strategic goals
• Ensuring compliance with standard practices and processes as well as maintaining and enhancing those processes
• Integrating SQL Systems with third party tools and environments
• Documenting policies, processes and procedures

Profile

• Demonstrable hands-on experience working with SQL Server production databases
• Strong experience of T-SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, functions)
• Expertise in backup and recovery processes, performance troubleshooting and tuning as well as clustering
• Proven experience in zero downtime, cloud-based deployments, as well administering large, high-availability production      systems
• Expertise in data and database security
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proven problem-solving skills and able to effectively troubleshoot issues remotely
