Finance Manager

Viking International, located in Ankara, seeks a full-time employee for the Finance Manager position.

Position Highlights

• Manages all aspects of statutory and management reporting, in accordance with reporting requirements on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis (which includes account reconciliations, control checks, manual journal entries, preparation of detailed analysis).
• Uploading e-ledger to ministry system
• Makes sure that the accounts are recorded in accordance with the generally accepted standards with no mistake and executes the active audit and financial audit activities for this purpose and keeps them under control.
• Support budget and forecasting activities.
• Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Produces quarterly and annual financial statements and financial reports
• Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Provides executive summary reports to senior management and other departments
• Assures that all internal and external reporting deadlines, including audit, tax, and third parties are met.
• Maintain an accounting system to support the accurate presentation of financial information ensuring accurate and timely biannual statutory accounts are prepared in accordance with
• TFRS and Group Finance requirements, as well as annual local accounts that are compliant with Turkish tax and accounting legislation
• Cooperative act with IT Function for possible system updates in terms of sound financial control procedures
• Reviewing contracts from finance point of view 
• Improve internal controls, strengthening the Company’s ability to identify financial risks and effectively managing them
• Ensures all account balances are reconciled, adequately supported and signed off.

• Responds to inquiries from Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.

• Maintaining relations with Tax Office and Sworn in CPA

• Following Viking International Limited’s QHSE&T policies and procedures in order to create a safe working environment at all times

Position Requirements

• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or relative disciplines 
• Proficient computer skills in office software and company proprietary software
• Strong technical background in all aspects of Accounting
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as Finance & Accounting Manager
• Work experience in an international and diverse cultural environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem identification skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures and experience in a multinational audit firm is an asset.
• Skill in performing detailed and complex numerical computations and report
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal relations, communication and management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and to follow-up on all tasking to completion
• Ability to claim and accept ownership of processes, and to provide appropriate leadership when called upon
• Strong experience with complex accounting transactions
