We are now looking for  a Heat Treatment Shopfloor Engineer to be employed in voestalpine High Performance Metal A.Ş. located in TOSB, Gebze, Kocaeli.

Job Description:

1.    Collect all process related forms and information, prepare them according to the customer needs and material characteristics and hand over to the shift supervisor.

2.    Inform his / her immediate supervisor on the deficiencies observed in the shopfloor and suggest & perform corrective actions.

3.    Control all the forms filled by the shift supervisor in order to complete them if necessary.

4.    Ensure that all customer materials are processed according to the forms and control the process.

5.    Provide technical consultation to the customers.

6.    Inform the shopfloor manager for the shopfloor needs.

7.    Work for reducing the customer complaints.

8.    Work on cost reduction and shopfloor efficiency.

9.     Ensure all safety measures are taken in the shopfloor.

10.   Ensure all equipments are used according to the pre defined guidelines.

11.   Manage all Lean and 5S processes of the shopfloor.

Required skills:

1.       Graduation from Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Departments of reputable universities.

2.       Minimum 2  years of relavant experience in heat treatment shopfloor.

3.       Advanced level of English.

4.       Good MS Office skills.

5.       Coordination, planning and problem solving skills.

6.       Knowledge on Lean Management.

7.       Awareness of Health and Safety process.

8.       Experience of working with blue collars.

9.       Residence in / near Gebze or in Anatolian side of Istanbul.

10.     Completion of military service for male candidates.
