• QUALIFICATIONS

·         Electric & Electronic Engineering degree plus 5+ years or Electric & Electronic Engineering degree plus 2+ years of  RF/MW design, development and testing experience on antennas, radomes, waveguides structures and planar structures,

·         In-depth understanding of Electromagnetic Theory, Wave Propagations (TE,TM,TEM Waves), Transmission Lines and Network Analysis,

·         Extensive experience with RF & MW testing techniques and test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators,

·         Experience and theoratical knowledge on antenna types such as aperture antennas, reflector antennas, wire antennas, microstrip antennas, array antennas

·         Experience and theoretical knowledge on radomes, antenna & radome interactions

·         Experience with simulation tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, CST and Matlab,

·         Experince with mechanical manufacturing technologies and limitations such as machining, plating and assembly,

·         Conceptual understanding and comprehension of “Bits to Waves”; digital/analog modulation schemes, active RF/MW elements, link budgets,

• Additional Requirements for Distinction:

·         Experience in defense, avionic and space projects is a plus,

·         Experience with 2D/3D mechanical design and software tools is a plus,

·         Experience and knowledge on active RF/MW elements and blocks is a plus

• JOB DESCRIPTION

As a valued member of VOLO, “Antenna & Radome Design Engineer” is responsible for designing, developing and manufacturing of radomes that will be used on Military, Avionics and Space platforms.

Candidates who applied to this position are expected to have technical expertise to create conseptual design from requirements, generate detailed designs, run related analyses utilizing CAD tools, plan and oversee manufacturing processes, test&validate designed elements.

This position requires candidate with a demonstrated track record of designing and developing technically complex electromagnetic problems, which require use of highly developed skills, wits and innovative mind.

• Basic Responsibilities of This Position are:

·         Design, develop, integrate, test and document radomes and related systems that meet the well established quality objectives, engineering methodologies and guidelines set by VOLO.

·         Participate in requirements analysis phase to determine design feasibility within time, cost, link budget and other additional (e.g. size, weight, electrical performance) constraints,

·         Contribute to defining and designing system specifications, assessing architectural and hardware related constraints and limitations, input/output interfacing requirements and procedures, and working parameters for in-system & inter-system compatibilities.

·         Provide from concept to production development, integration and testing of designed/produced radomes,

·         Design, configure and conduct testing of designed elements in a timely and cost effective manner,

·         Troubleshooting or debugging design, implementation and test issues and deliver working troublefree solutions,

·         Establish technical documentation by writing design and test documents as well as drafting initial versions of product manuals for the corresponding parts and sections,

·         Recommend enhancements, improvements, innovations, shortcuts and cost savings to the existing technology and processes, and recommend development of effective solutions and prototypes, if/when required.
