Job Description:

The position within the group companies’ goal is to be part of growing Tendering & Design Team, to prepare Commercial and Technical proposals and Design packages.

Below are some of the responsibilities our Mechanical Design & Tendering Engineer will have;

- Manage associated cost preparation responsibilities

- Studying a cost-effective Design Brief and on possible solutions

- Obtain factored / sub supplier costs where necessary

- using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create design packages

- Designing and implementing systems to improve efficiency and sustainability

- Prepare technical & commercial proposals

- Keeping up to date with the latest building regulations

- Liaising with suppliers, clients, architects and contractors

- Attend clarification meetings with Client when required

- Analysing and interpreting data and information

- Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines

- Recommending modifications for systems

- Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order

- Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements

- Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks

- Creating reports and documentation

- Going out on site

Requested Qualifications:

-Qualified with min. 4-5 years’ experience.

-Proven track record working on fast paced projects within a critical environment (under pressure)

-A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software

-Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

-Commercially awareness

-Good understanding sub & superstructure construction works

-Teamworking

-Flexibility and ability to adapt to change

-BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Similar

-Strong organisational and communication skills

-Experience of dealing with complex tenders

-Ability to communicate in both English and Turkish, written and oral. Experience of working with a foreign company in Turkey or overseas.

- Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment

- General MS Office & MS Project Program skills

- Knowledge on Autocad

-Age between 25-35, young and energetic.
