Main Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design Engineering and Mechanical System Integration Engineering of HVAC and Refrigeration Products
• Responsible for the Project Planning
• Definition / Design of mechanical components of the product, as well as verification, approval and release of drawings
• Calculations of sizing / verification (FEM analysis)
• Responsible for the creation, updating and maintaining of the drawings archive for components
• Responsible for the creation, updating and maintaining of the Design guidelines
• Manage the layout of projects, components and systems.
• Management of the system layout
• Definition and issuing of specifications / test procedures for type tests, of series and for FAI
• Develop 3D solid and surface models
• Generation of 2D build drawings
• Collaboration and interaction with the business areas involved in the project development (Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Testing, Production)
• Development of innovative concepts and solutions from customer requirements/problems
• Interface with suppliers to define the mechanical requirements of components

Education & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Thermodynamic preferred) and a minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role
• Detailed understanding of HVAC system functions including refrigeration, thermodynamics, heat transfer, airflow and ventilation
• Good understanding of the application of computer simulation tools and theory to HVAC system design
• Expert CAD knowledge (preferably Autodesk Inventer / CATIA)
• Expert knowledge of engineering materials
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in thermoforming, plastic injection molding and metal processing
• Ability to carry out static and dynamic mechanical analysis of complex systems
• Leadership and personnel management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Fluency in English is a must
• Organizational skills and ability to work independently
