Job responsibilities

• Generate and implement sourcing strategies for establishing good supplier base to support company in terms of pricing/quality/lead time and technical knowledge
• Manages sourcing team aligned with company strategies 
• Building a strong organization by selecting, training, motivating, and retaining a team of competent and committed people by demonstrating effective leadership
• Following up market trends, supplier road maps, changing policies and legislation
• Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit industry developments
• Collaborating with the Global Sourcing Team, Global Commodity Leaders and peers involved in other Sourcing initiatives
• Searching for new suppliers / materials / technologies locally/globally; carrying out supplier selection steps i.e Supplier Assessments, development activities
• Preparing RFQs, collecting offers, doing comparison analyses, investment studies, and evaluation and supplier nominations with total cost of ownership approach, using related purchasing tools
• Manage contracts with existing/new suppliers and obtain best terms (quality, price quantity, delivery) to meet current and future requirements
• Ensure local policies and compliance guidelines are adhered to by the broader business
• Manage suppliers performance in terms of quality, delivery, cost, service develop and continuously improve supply base
• Proactively identifies and manages risks to avoid supply chain disruption
• Prepare regular reports

• Graduate of BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or the equivalent. Master’s degree in engineering or business discipline preferred
• Min 10 years in purchasing/sourcing function in manufacturing industry, experience with casting, metal fabrication and machining parts in local and international markets
• At least 5 years experience in team management
• Bulgarian or Romanian supplier base knowledge is a plus
• Proven (demonstrable) experience and expertise leading negotiations, supplier contracting, sourcing, performance evaluation, providing cost & expense analysis and continuous improvement
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of contract terminology, proven ability to review contracts and create Statements of Work
• Self manages; being proactive, takes initiative and able to collaborate across geographies and functions
• Must be results-oriented and strive to achieve high levels of quality and customer satisfaction
• Must be flexible and able to adapt easily to change
• Ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and responsibilities
• Good analytical and problem-solving and planning skills for a sustainable and powerful relationship with suppliers, interdepartments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good at human relations; must relate and interact with people at all levels of the Company
• Good MS Office skills
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Bulgarian or Romanian language knowledge is a big plus
• Able to travel min 30-40%
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Driver's License (Required),active driver
• Mining, Machine manufacturing industry knowledge is a plus
• Project management skills and experience is a plus
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus
• Candidate should be located or has no obstacle to live in Istanbul / Kocaeli
