Responsibilities

·         Performing the installation & troubleshooting activities for railway Signalling and Telecommunication systems in accordance with the system designs and installation standards.

·         Being responsible for fiber optic site installations and managing termination/measurement works.

·         Fulfilling the quality procedures of the site installations by reporting according to the required and determined official documentation.

·         Planning the site installation activities and leading the installation team in accordance with the project programme.

·         Reporting the performed site installation activities in terms of progress to the technical office department.

·         Coordinating and performing the S&T systems internal interfaces and boundary interfaces with other systems and stakeholders.

·         Checking and determining the installation material needs in case of need.

·         Interface with other stakeholders to try to improve the designs and tools.

·         Liaise with the Client, system providers and 3rd Party contractors on all site-related activities.

·         Coordinating the T&C activities of Signalling and Telecommunication systems in cooperation with related counterparties.

Qualifications

·         BSc or above in Electrical/Electronics/Control or Telecommunications Engineering only (other disciplines will NOT be considered for this position). 

·         Technical knowledge of ETCS L1 and/or ETCS L2, CBI, CTC systems and signalling wayside objects (i.e. eurobalise, LED signals, point machine, axle counter, level crossing, hot box detector) and tools.

·         Technical knowledge of weak current systems(i.e. telecommunication systems, BMS, Radio and SCADA systems)

·         Fiber Optic site work experience is preferable.

·         Advance knowledge of technical and social English (full professional proficiency level) and Turkish (native) Languages.

·         Min 3 years experience of hands-on mainline signalling systems installation and testing&commissioning (other experience will NOT be considered).

·         Min 3 years experience of weak current systems installation in railway projects.

·         Min 5 years experience of managing site installation teams in railway projects.

·         Good problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player with excellent team spirit and enthusiasm.

·         Readiness to work long hours including nights and weekends in East African project sites.
