Position:         Compliance Officer & Legal Advisor Dalaman Airport

Dalaman Airport is located on the Turkish Riviera, one of the most attractive tourist areas in Turkey and the Mediterranean, with numerous cultural, sports and leisure facilities. Before the pandemic, it was handling 5 million passengers per year, most of them international, having increased by 78% since 2006, and it ranks fourth in Turkey in terms of international passenger numbers.

The airport has two terminals, one domestic and one international, with capacity for sustainable and environmentally friendly projects in Turkey. over 20 million passengers per year, an apron for over 40 aircraft, parking space for cars and tour operator buses, and ancillary facilities such as a water treatment plant. It also plans to build a renewable power plant.

YDA Dalaman Airport shareholders are Ferrovial Airports (60% of the Shares) & YDA Construction Industry and Trade Inc.  (40%).

Description:

The Compliance Officer is in charge of ensuring that the company’s organizational and business processes follows external regulations and its own internal guidelines.

As a Senior Lawyer is responsible of providing legal advice and support to legal issues to the management of the Dalaman Airport and providing the decision-making process with an updated and solid information base.

Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs Director and the rest of the management to articulate, advise and approve strategic issues and decisions in his area of responsibility, keeping him updated of the progress of the project;

Manage the relationship with external legal counsel and/or specialists, acting as the single point of contact at senior level for all the legal issues;

Acting as secretary of the Board;

Responsible of all the compliance issues at the Airport level, with diverse duties that can range from conducting risk assessments to advising the management;

Responsible to manage all the legal process, litigations and business transactions of Dalaman Airport together with external law firms when necessary;

Responsible to draft, review, negotiate and administer legal and transactional documentations;

Handle ad-hoc assignments;

Support the relationship with shareholders and other stakeholders in his area of expertise;

Anticipate problems using his past experience to strengthen the project. Developing and sharing best practices from his experience in previous positions. 

Requirements:

Law degree required

Considerable experience at senior level in a corporate legal department, minimum 8 to 10 years experience

Turkish national or bilingual and work permit holder

High level of English

Availability to travel

Knowledge and experience in Compliance will be valuable
