QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related departments of universities,
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, contract management and vendor relations (metals and mining experience is a plus),
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience especially leading teams in different locations,
  • Experienced negotiator with commercial acumen and a focus on customer orientation at all times with track record of large negotiations,
  • Experienced understanding of Turkish product and supply markets and major market levers
  • Ability to analyze the market and demand situation and commodity influences to develop advanced strategies
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing, demand levers and cross-functional approaches
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills,
  • Key skills and abilities include leadership, customer orientation, coaching, influencing, facilitation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving
  • Awareness of commercial and contract levers and risks
  • Experienced in communication with national and international suppliers and internal customers,
  • Full understanding of transaction processing in procurement relevant systems, including SAP
  • Proven track record of leadership with demonstrated ability to develop talent,
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines and multiple priorities; work under pressure and handle confidential information appropriately,
  • Strong time and project management skills,
  • Fluent in Turkish and English (oral and written)
  • Position requires travel in Turkey and abroad,

JOB DESCRIPTION


The role generally deals with anything relating to the ordering of materials, services and supplies for Yılmaden Holding and its group companies across borders. Main duties include;

  • Identifying suppliers, comparing prices, specifications, terms and delivery dates to determine the optimum one to utilize, responding to internal and supplier inquiries, reviewing requisition orders to verify accuracy, specifications and terminology.
  • Establish procurement strategies for acquisition, receiving and tracking of project and indirect materials with Yılmaden Holding management that optimize quality, cost, in line with approved budget and specified time.
  • Work collaboratively with Yılmaden Holding management to coordinate supplier selection and tender processes, credit and terms, track supplier performance standards, and conduct ongoing evaluation for new and existing suppliers.
  • Take an active role in SAP business transformation project to set up the procurement standards and business processes that will be in line with the compliance and segregation of duties.
  • Prepare procurement execution plans and oversee the full array of materials management and procurement functions of purchasing, expediting, shipping, receipt and inspections, and logistics.
  • Develop plans for the effective organization, lead the procurement team in order to meet the expectations.
  • Prepare, maintain and review purchasing records, produce management reports, track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, approve bills for payment, monitor contractor performance, calculate the cost of orders, assign invoices to the appropriate accounts, and monitor in-house inventory transfer.
  • Leading and apply cost reduction strategies, closely cooperating with all departments to create and implement potentials of saving sources within the organization.
  • Collaborating with respective departments to ensure all required specification of the service/material before tender process.
  • Developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures in line with Yılmaden Holding management.
  • Keeping track of all kind of developments and trends related with commodities and suppliers.
