Senior Media Relations Specialist

For our growing organization, we are looking for a "Senior Media Relations Specialistt"  to be based in YILDIRIM Group Headquarter, Maslak Office. 

Our new public relations specialist will be part of our growing communications team and will develop necessary guidelines, templates, tools, and procedures to help improve our communications efforts and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing a comprehensive communication plan according to group strategies and deciding related media strategy,
• Maintaining a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keeping up-to-date with relevant developments,
• Clarifying long-term communication priorities and preparing schedules and execution plans,
• Tracking updates within the group companies and communicating with internal stakeholders to collect information about major events and possible communication subjects,
• Generating communication ideas and preparing contents for group websites, social media accounts, and publications,
• Writing, editing, or proof-reading content copies, press releases, and speech notes,
• Preparing internal and external announcements, e-mails, and newsletters,
• Managing third party relationships with agencies, press representatives, editors, and translators,
• Using and developing digital platforms and tools to submit, deliver, and monitor press releases.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in marketing, communications, advertising, media, journalism or literature,
• At least 5 years of professional experience in public relations, preferably both within a holding company and a public relations agency,
• High level of marketing, communications, media knowledge, familiarity with key organizations and people,
• Practical experience with digital platforms to submit press releases and to monitor media channels,
• General knowledge about new media channels, digital platforms, and content producers,
• Exceptional use of English and Turkish in writing and editing. Excellent copywriting and translation skills,
• Ability to work in cooperation both with internal and external stakeholders,
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively, both written and verbal,
• Event and organization planning experience is a plus.
