For our growing team, we are looking for enthusiastic team members to take an active role at the “Global Technical Services Department” as a “Project and Control Engineer" reporting directly to Technical Services Project Director of YILPORT Holding.

The position will be based in YILPORT Holding headquarters located at YILDIRIM Tower, Maslak, Istanbul and/or Gebze Terminal.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or Mecathronic Engineering, and other related programs
• Have minimum 2-5 years of work experience,
• Written and oral fluency in English is a must (additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese are preferable),
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Projects) and Mini tab etc.), preferably in Excel and data review,
• Professional knowledge of ERP Programs (SAP, MS-SQL),
• Industry knowledge in production, manufacturing, mining, rail or oil & gas and experience in fully automated and/or high-speed production environment in Engineering or Technology roles will be an asset,
• Preferably has Lean / Six Sigma knowledge and experience,
• Proven experience in project management,
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse workforce at all levels in a multi-cultural environment and team,
• Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks in a dead-line oriented work environment,
• Is self-directed and self-motivated, able to work both independently and within a highly collaborative team environment,
• Have customer, quality, process and result driven approach,
• Must be a focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy,
• Able to travel domestically and internationally when required,
• Completed military service for male candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to Technical Services Project Director, the position will be mainly responsible for reviewing Global and Site legislation for technical and compliance requirements and preparing the Technical Specification for Capex projects such as new Equipment or major technical modifications tenders.

Besides the ideal candidate will be coordinating all technical details and scope of works with Terminal/ Customer. Additional responsibilities will be as follows

• Preparing the Project schedule, following the project and monitors its progress. Reporting Project risk and providing alternatives and solutions.
• Reviewing Scope of Works and specifications before contract awards.
• Providing technical recommendations based on tender responses for commercial negotiations.
• Conducting site visits with Terminal /Customer to ensure scope of works consists of all necessary details and technical details for tender.
• Preparing Project FAT-SAT documents for final handover.
• Establishing new programs for routine controls of equipment tests, precision and accuracy of measurements.
• Cooperating and communicating effectively with all other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Raising additional works, out of scope requirements from Terminal/Customer or Supplier with Procurement for commercial impact.
• Ensuring the assigned Project is executed within the agreed timeline and all deliverables are within budget.
• Monitoring the market in industry developments for improvements for Technical, operational, safety of production improvements.
• Provides training where needed to own team or Terminal / Customer.
